Overview
Requesting approval takes under a minute. Open the item's Approval tab, enter who should review it and in which language, add any context, and send. The reviewer receives a branded email with a secure link, and the item's status moves to Requested. Every request is recorded in an approval history timeline so you always know who was asked and what they decided.
Steps
- Open the item — a social post's detail dialog, or a content page editor — and go to the Approval tab. It shows the current status, an Approval history timeline, and a Request approval button.
- Click Request approval.
- Fill in the approver email (required) and optionally the approver name.
- Choose the language (English or Deutsch) — it sets the language of both the email and the review page.
- Add an optional message giving the reviewer context, then click Send request.
Details
- The status changes to Requested and the reviewer gets an email with a secure link valid for 72 hours by default.
- Each new request supersedes any earlier pending request for the same item, so reviewers always act on the latest version.
- The Approval history timeline records every request — the approver, the date, the outcome, and any comment left.
Check before you move on
- Double-check the approver email; the decision email only comes back if a requester email is on file.
- Send a fresh request after edits rather than expecting an old link to reflect new content.
